Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC)

The Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) was established under Presidential Decree No. 312 of 1996 as the sole national authority in the Arab Republic of Egypt responsible for assessing and accrediting conformity assessment bodies. These include testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, and management system certification bodies.

In 2006, Presidential Decree No. 248 was issued to restructure EGAC and provide it with full technical, administrative, and financial independence. This enables the Council to carry out its accreditation responsibilities effectively, with authority granted directly by the state.

EGAC operates as a governmental, non-profit organization under the Ministry of Industry, ensuring credibility and transparency in accreditation activities across Egypt.

Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB)

Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) was established as per the Bangladesh Accreditation Act, 2006 mandated for providing accreditation to laboratories, certification bodies, inspection bodies, training institutions and persons in the country. BAB, the apex body of the national quality infrastructure, is playing a leading role for the development of an internationally recognized accreditation system in the country.

BAB has signed Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) with Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). Certificates or test reports of products and services from BAB accredited organizations have gained worldwide acceptance and local products and services are being consolidated in the international market.

IAF CertSearch

IAF CertSearch has been established by the International Accreditation Forum and its members so accredited certifications from around the world can be validated. IAF CertSearch is a global database where users can search and validate the status of accredited certification issued by a Certification Body which has been accredited by an IAF signatory member Accreditation Body under main scope ISO/IEC 17021-1.
